Step by step guide to Winpack setup for
the Baycom board and the Watson Multi.
Install Bpq (ver 4.08a or later) to C:\Bpq
Edit Bpqcfg.txt with your callsign, bbs etc.
Run Bpqcfg.exe.
Copy bpqcode.386 to Windows\system.
Copy bpqdll.dll to Windows\system.
The next 3 files are in Winpack 6.3 if you have not
already got them you will need to install Winpack 6.3
in Windows to get them.
These files are in a zip called Nodbay13.zip and will
be in the Dir Winpack when you install 6.3.
Unzip Nodbay13 to Winpack.
You will have unzipped Baydrv.vxd , Node2bay.exe
and Node2bay.txt to Winpack.
Edit Autoexec.bat putting these lines first.
C:\winpack\node2bay.exe -I3 -B2f8 -i60 -dC:\Winpack\Baydrv.vxd
CD\BPQ
BPQCODE
NOTE - the "-I", "-B", "-i" and "-d" are case sensitive.
The settings above are for comm2 if comm1 is used -I4 -B3f8
Start Windows , you should see Node2bay loading.
** You do not need to disable the comm port in Win98 **
In Windows select My computer then Control panel then System
then select device manager and find Comm2 , highlight this then
pick properties and disable this hardware profile. (only for Win95)
Install Winpack if not already done.
Restart Windows run Winpack then go to comms settings and in Host mode
select BPQ.
**All PATHS ARE ASSUMING THAT YOU HAVE INSTALLED TO C:\
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
C:\WINPACK
C:\BPQ
**IF THEY DIFFER REMEMBER TO CHANGE PATHS IN AUTOEXEC.BAT
