I have!

What is said in that message is that flexnet works better than bpq even if it
is used with kiss, for a point to point connection (only two stations on the
freq.) But to use the tnc with a good firmware like tf2.7b and
properly set parameters would probably work better.
That says much more about bpq than it does about flexnet.

What is not said is that you can't ever use a flexnet node that way since a
feature of the kiss driver is that it is impossible to use the routing
protocol via that driver, dama can't be used etc.

Why don't you try before you say that it seems to work!

No, it doesn't!
Not al the features of flexnet and it will never work as good as when
using 6pack, as good as it is intended to do.

>Where have you learned "..flexnet with a kiss tnc works better than bpq.." ?
The bulletin from k2ul you are referring to above is one source of information
you seems to relay on.

>If you use tf2.8b, you still have a TNC 'with a life of its own'.
I thought that tf2.7b was the latest version!

>You don't have 'full control' over the TNC or radio.
The packet driver used when using wa8ded host have that, it is that the packet
driver have full control over the modem that is important.
But no packet driver like flexnet can be used in a tnc2 firmware.

>You will only have 'full control' with 6PACK, and even then you don't have
>absolutely full control.
What you mean with absolutely full control have I no idea about, but the packet
driver have much more control over the tnc than if you are using kiss.

Then you know what 6pack and flexnet are?

I did not expect you to give me those advices, especially "Do not reply
before you understand what the message says" interesting!
I would very much appreciate if you even considered to follow those advices
your self!
