>You will need an EPROM with that special program - 6PACK.
Of cause is the software needed if the tnc shall work!

Yes of course!

>>>the others ( that are running ) are completelly obsolete.

>Do we have to remind you what you have said ?
>You clearly said that BPQ is obsolete.
Yes it is!
Compared to other net/rom nodes which have the new improved net/rom routing,
like the latest thenetnode and x-nnt is it totaly obsolte.
And if you compare with flexnet will it be even clearer why you should change
ndoe software and for what reasons!

There is nothing that is better with bpq than with other softwares, but
there are many softwares that are better than bpq in all possible ways.

The othe software mentioned above is not bpq!
It is firmaweres like tf2.7b and agw packet engine etc.
If you want to use a tnc in hostmode is tf2.7b very good, even if it will
never work as good as flexnet.

>You even admids that not all TNC's can use 6PACK due to the lack of
>firmware for some TNC's.
Yes.
But to make a 6pack supporting firmware is possible for every tnc, it is realy
nothing advanced.
So in the future should every one be able to use flexnet I hope.
The adaptive parameters of flexnet would be very good for all those that don't
have the knowledge to configure another packet driver, its parameters etc.

>>But 6pack as a protocol for communication between tnc and computer is better
>>than kiss, always!
>
>Better ?, that is a matter of personal experience.
>6PACK may be EASIER to use compared to KISS, but better ?
Yes it is!
The resons and what I mean with "better than kiss" is not hard to understand!
If you are aware of the problesm with kiss its timing problems etc and
comparesit with 6pack will you find that when using 6pack are there no such
problems.
If you read the description of 6pack which I send a while ago and compares
with kiss will you realise that very quickly.
But either you don't read it or you don't understand it.

>With 6PACK you are stuck with the functions that the firmware-makers
>has put in to it. With KISS you can do whatever you want, provided you
>have the knowledge to make an application that have what you want it to do.
You don't get what 6pack is!
You can do exactly the same thing with 6pack as with kiss, but with 6pack can
you also do even more.
Like make packet driver that can be used with dama!

>>There is no reson for telling you that your tnc and packet driver works as
>>good as a tnc (or modem) and flexnet, since it doesn't.
>>Or that kiss is just as good as 6pack.
>>
>>If you can use flexnet do that.
>
>Once again you are telling us, 'USE FLEXNET - it is always best'.
Yes it is, why shouldn't I tell you!
Flexnet works very good and I can recommend every one to use it.

If you want to get your self any experiance then try out som different nodes
and packet drivers and compare.
I guess that you have only used bpq for a very long time no, haven't tried out
any new better software. If you had wouldn't you use bpq now!
