Why is BPQ obsolete ? ("Not maintained anymore" isn't an argument.)
How can KISS be obsolete ?
Do you know what KISS really is ?
KISS is a way to remove ALL packet-protocols from the TNC, so the
programmer can use, or develope, the protocol, he/she likes.
This makes KISS a VERY powerful thing to use.
It is NO protocol, it is a driver that converts raw-data to HDLC-frames
that can be sent over radio.
Whatever protocol, speed, or modulation you are using, it is still
HDLC-frames over the radio.
The only problem is that the programmer has to fully understand the
protocol he/she wants to use.
You are not limited to AX25, you can use whatever protocol you may have.
(AX25, X25, TCP/IP is a only a few of them.)
KISS itself is very simple to understand, and use.
