Hi,
I'm trying to setup my network so that everyone in my house can access
out BBS via a single TNC and radio. No problem. 3 PC's have BPQ linked
to the ethernet, we can merrily connect to each other, and to the outside
world.
The problem is arising when we try to use a packet prog that replies
on the route table existing so from a PC without a radio, we can type
'C BBSNAME', and it will go and connect me to it, despite not knowing
where it is (the whole purpose of nodes!) It seems that BPQ never transmits
any NODES frames on the ethernet, and the network never works out where
anyone is. As far as I can see, it never even tries. I thought it was
something to do with the fact that they are unproto/broadcast data, but
that was blown out because ID and beacon frames are sent (and received at the
other end) OK.
Can anyone shed any light on this? Does anyone have the ethernet driver
that does this. If so, can you post me your port section from BPQCFG.TXT, and
your NET.CFG.
Thanks alot. This seems as if it should be so easy.
Cheers, Charlie, G7MYO @ GB7BED
