Hannover (dl8ol) As reported by the press llaison officer of Hannover/Germ
Firebrigade a "Crisis Intervention Team" consisting four paramedics and
two special trained "emergency event clergymen" are on place of Phuket and
Bankok since 27th of Dec 2004.
They flew in company with their colleagues from Munic FB, fulfilling equal
tasks.

The time of stay is unknown up now as the press officer A.F. (name abbrevia-
ted) pointed out.
F: "It is their task to assist tourists on their way home and keep them
physically and mental stabilized"
How long and if further member of the Fire Brigade shall be send abraod
is not known up know, the press officer pointed out.
A lot of hurt tourist's - nationality is not important - are flewn back or
will be flewn back by a German Airforce Jet, serving as a flying ambulance
plane with the possibility of surgery operations whilst flight (Airbus)

This plane fly as a shuttle from and to the involved places.
The "Crisis Intervention Team" was inaugurated August 2003 after a traumatic
Rail Road accident where Hannover had been involved with a lot of manpower and
appliances. Even the looming up terrorism and it's possible actions led into
this special squad.
The clergymen, Roman Catholic and Lutherian are special trained by the Fire
Brigade. It is their task to overtake all psychological attendance in any
case emergency if wanted.
They wear Hannover Turnout kits with a collar "Priest"
Beside their religious doing they are trained in extended First Aid and
are able to assist the Paramedics on place of incident,
