HAMPSHIRE POLICE RADIO CLUB (G0LAW) will be mounting a...round the clock...
attack at...TRANSMISSION 96...this weekend.
Starting at 0001hrs Sat 21 Sep right through to 2359hrs on Sun 22 Sep the club
will operate all bands, propogation permitting, using CW, SSB and RTTY.
For those that can access the Cluster system, regular announcements will be
made, thus enabling you to track us down.
Sadly this year there has been minimal publicity for this event, and to bring
you up to date on Transmission 96, a brief explanation follows:
The...Transmission...weekend has become an annual event, the
idea beging to raise money to buy approved broadcast band
radio's for the blind. Operators taking part in the...Transmission...
event will already have obtained sponsors and all that is
required is to get as many entrys as possible in the log book.
THE SPONSORS WILL THEN PAY WHATEVER AMOUNT THEY PLEDGED PER
CONTACT. ...NO MONEY IS REQUIRED OR EXPECTED FROM PEOPLE CALLING
IN AND ESTABLISHING A QSO...
This is a National event run by a National association in aid of blind people.
Your support will be warmly welcomed. To add excitment to the occasion a
cup is awarded to the Club/Team that makes the most contacts in both the
Overseas and British Isles section.
HAMPSHIRE POLICE RADIO CLUB already has it's name on the cup for the British
Isles section (from previous years) and is looking to repeat it's success again
this year. Please help to raise money, all you have to do is make a contact,
we do the rest.
REMEMBER THE CALLSIGN...G0LAW...
If you hear it, give us a call.
