Hi Pete and all,

I remember the original mobile phones, they operated at the low end of
the VHF Hi band around 150-152MHz if memory serves. They were fun to
listen to, people treated them like telephones not realizing they were
being broadcast over a wide area, anything goes. Forget about a scanner,
they transmitted continuous carrier and when inactive a 2600Hz line idle
tone. Being a phone phreak at the time I knew how to use the tone so
listening was no problem. Marine HF radiotelephone was another matter,
when they switched to VHF again no problem, at least until the system was
automated and my portable became useless for making calls from the mobile
but that's another story. Oh I have stories, plenty of them but some
aspects of phreaking are best kept under wraps. (;->)

Pretty much the same thing can be said about YLs on CB so about all I can
say is I seldom spent a night alone. <wolfish grin> I will say one other
small tidbit, I met Lebonny Bakely better known as Bonnie Lee and Bonnie
Lee Bakely on CB, if the name is unfamiliar Google it. Yeah, people are
strange when you CB and when you meet them some are even stranger, no
wonder things finally caught up to her.

You wonder if he has his ears on? Who are you expecting, Michael Jackson?
