144: VK6WG reported hearing 144 beacons from VK5 - he has a considerable
advantage over me in altitude and generally hears VHF DX before I do.
He is situated about 3 km west of me on the side of Mt Melville

VK6WG worked the VK5 stations on 432.100 also. I could hear some but no
well enough for a contact. CW would have been OK. VK6WG also heard the
432.536 beacon in Ballarat at good strength.Distance about 3200 km)
Temperature in Albany today rose to 39C (101F) through a high in the
Bight, classic conditions for VHF DX across the Great Australian Bight.

* Listening on a Yaesu FT221R which has no accurate readout. Marker gives
me 144.100 which is the DX frequency.
