To all Hams/SWLs:
From 20:00 UTC 10/Feb/2000 until 23:00 UTC 24/Feb/2000 two BEACONS
are operating, in these QRGs: 10.140 mHz and 28.250 mHz. QTH: Porto Alegre
with Grid Locator GF49kx, 70m over sea level. The IDs are ONLY a carrier
7 secs long with 3 secs pause, N0N, continuously. They operate on the same
timer.

Reports via E-mail are welcome too.
The RIGs:
30m: TX QRP Xtal, 2 watts, antenna 30m dipole with SWR 1.1:1. The
position of the antenna is favourable to north-south signals after Porto
Alegre. Oscillator: BC337; driver: BD139; power: 2SC1969.
10m: TRX Midland mod. 77-104 (ex-CB box) with PLL, 3 watts, antenna
1/4 vertical with SWR 1.1:1.
Common Timer: based on IC 555. Keyer: BD139.
The circuits are very plain, so can happen timer shifts of about
1 sec (?), and a little frequency drift.
