Silverton, a short distance north of Broken Hill, is certainly in arid
country but between Broken Hill and Cobar there is sheep statiion country
also. That area was lead mining country, and copper around Cobar, though
most of the mines are worked out now. I have been right through that
country and up to Bourke in a caravan, and more than once.
