Nit picking, nothing but nit picking. That's all I saw in the rather long
message bt SB fromk Ian,VK5KQ to David, G4EBT.

I take it you are both well educated but, as I have said before, grammar
and spelling are not everything. If someone who really knows his stuff,
puts out a bulletin giving useful information, I don't care about his
spelling or even if he sticks to all lower or UPPER CASE.

Petty wrangling especially by bull, just puts people off packet.

Then, there's the question of making sure just how qualified the person
you are lecturing is.

A good example of this, a few years ago, involved a man arguing the
Theory of Relativity at great length, even though he was only at beginner
level with the Special Theory. The man he was lecturing was a PhD in
physics and his job involved marking exam papers for 'A' level and
University students. I still remember his callsign and I think he's still
on packet, so I'll spare his blushes and not mention it.

The know it all who sent out the insulting bulls was one of the only
two I've ever put on my reject list. He insulted everybody and it got
bporing.

He seems to have vanished now.

I don't want this to be taken as an attack on anybody. G4EBT and GM7HUD,
who I think was also mentioned in this "debate", have both done me
favours, for which I'm very grateful.

All the best. Ian.
