Hello Andrew
South Africa is giving up at least the 1 Cent Coin.
Cost more to fabricate than its worth...
No , Havent heard about Steel Coins...probably much better
for the Testing bite. (as they! did with Gold-Coins)
Old Germany , the Eastern side , the GDR used for its
Deutsche Mark = Aluminium.
Might have made sense. Aluminium would have much more Value
than U can get into a Coin. (at that Time and Politics.)
also lighter to carry...
And as Inflation goes... Plastic, Plastic everywhere.
If you tell me your Polyester, I tell you mine.
Picture the South African. As Inflation goes , the Rand will
cost you about 2Rands 50, and The Zimbabwe dollar will be
worth about 95 Cents SA Value...You should familiarize
yourself beforehand with the local Situaion. If you can
Stomach that.
And REMEMBER , Cost cutting measures have cost the people a
lot. Some People somewhere. Most always the wrong one.
Thats the difference between Citizen and Politician.!
Some of the Coins should , as has been usual in the past ,
show the Head of state or important personalities.
They still should do show that. But on a silver Platter.
U getting my drift?
