I think, Paul that the difference is that AR is worldwide and many
different countries have a different "Street Language"
Take, for example, the current fuss about a bulletin that I posted. Most
exception, it seems was taken to the word beginning with a "W" in one of
the first few lines.
That word in OZ usually means "fool", "idiot" or, as I'm called,
"plonker".
It has a different meaning in the UK. Not that I'm making excuses, I'm
from the UK.
A similar interesting example occurred when I said "Ow yer goin' whacker"
to a friend here in OZ!
I have sent an apology to my sysop and anybody else who may have been
offended.
