Meeting commenced at 19:30. 

Previous Minutes: 

Robyn read the minutes from the previous meeting. 

Corrections:
1. VK6CSI to be amended to VK6SI 
2. To have the Term "OB" removed and replace with "Portable Operations" 
3. Instead of "VK6PEC, Rob Clarke" to read VK6PEC, on behalf of Rob
Clarke"

Business arising from the previous minutes

Peter VK6PEC, said, the Solar Panel is actually 30 w and he has brought it
in. Glen VK6IQ  inspected it and said it looks satisfactory. 

Hillview pictures bought in by Christine, VK6ZLZ, Dennis, VK6KAD, talked
about insurance of WARG with respect to Hillview. Usage cost is unknown at
this time, need to speak to a Peter Jones of the Scouts. Moved that this
will be carried over to General Business.

Peter VK6HAO would like a list of all WARG equipment held by members.
A list was received from Glen VK6IQ

6.0 Net Controller's report
22 on the net last Sunday.  Going well.

7.0 Repeater manager's reports
VK6IQ Glen said Cataby is running well. Glen VK6IQ has received a couple
of donated Solar Regulators from an anonymous person. Peter, VK6PEC would
like to visit Cataby repeater site. Geoff VK6NGW enquired about weed
spraying, Glen VK6IQ will check out situation. 

Avon Valley is back on air. 
Vic Park is back on air.
Tony, VK6YBA fitted new Cavities to the 6m repeater last Monday, working
great, says Peter VK6HAO

TIC Hill, Rob VK6JRC wants to pass responsibility of this site to somebody
else due to work commitments. Cavities still need looking at.  Peter
VK6PEC called for volunteers. Discussed replacement of antenna, etc. Tony
VK6YAG will look at the cavities.  Tic Hill needs a good going through.
VK6NGW would like to see how cavities are tuned.

8.0 VK6BBR
Working. UPS Batteries need replacement Maybe, 30 Minutes seems be ok,
Discussion as if to replace or not. Gavin VK6HGR want to check it out
first before we make a decision. Moved Robyn VK6XRE Seconded Peter VK6HAO 
Linux is in the pipeline for this system says Gavin VK6HGR.

Exams are going well.
7 Candidates for the 28th June
Wed 11th VK6WIA Education services, 3 Candidates doing 10 words a minutes.

10.0 General business
Wally VK6YS re 70 cm repeater cavities, for WICEN 70 cm repeater, used for
Rally Aus, needs a set of cavities on loan.  Glen VK6IQ brought in 3 that
may or may not be suitable. Various Diplexers brought in. Clive VK6CSW
moved seconded Neil VK6BDO that Wally take all units and see if it is any
are useful.

New site at Hillview scout facility, Welshpool, do we move from here?  We
need a definite figure of cost. The site has an Alarm.

Clive VK6CSW moved that we have a show of hands regarding moving, no
seconder, discussion followed.

Cliff VK6LZ said scout hall a bit down market. Robyn VK6XRE says
facilities more available for use, and if paying 50% of the running cost.
We would have greater say in how the place is organised. Discussion
continued. Current costs here are $12.50 for a meeting and $10.00 for an
exam. Whaleback, used for classes costs, $15 per night/week x 50 weeks. 
Peter VK6HAO enquired about exam calendar clashes. Geoff VK6NGW asked for
a trial meeting at Hillview next month, seconded Clive VK6CSW   Passed
Unanimous.

Peter Jones VK6JAE will be asked, must show him our insurance policy says
Dennis VK6KAD.

Peter VK6PEC will arrange meeting.

Rob VK6JRC bought 4 cavities from VHF group bring and buy sale, $25 for
them all. Bill supplied, accepted for payment Geoff VK6AX, seconded Peter
VK6HAO

Clive VK6CSW reports Will VK6UU wants to hand over WARG equipment stored
at his QTH to the group, it was discussed we should wait until we see if
we have storage before we start moving.

Qnews relay under test, goes to air on Monday nights via the Victoria
Park, IRLP down loader. Glen VK6IQ discussed regulations regarding
broadcasts of news etc. Open to clubs no problems says Cliff VK6LZ. 

Clive VK6CSW moved Rob VK6JRC relays QNEWS to attract traffic on 70cm
seconded Geoff VK6NGW passed Unanimous.

On the subject of ROATC News, Dennis VK6KAD, do a repeat relay on a night
after the normal Monday relay, maybe Tuesday after the ROATC dinner. 
Clive VK6CSW suggests for trial session it goes out on the 1st Tuesday of
the month, discussed, but this is no good as it is WIA meeting night.
Dennis VK6KAD suggested 2nd Tuesday of the month. It was agreed 2nd
Tuesday Moved Glen VK6IQ seconded VK6AX Unanimous

It was discussed regarding the proposed change to a 5.4Mhz, in difference
to the standard 5.0Mhz split on 70 cm, to avoid LIPD interference, Gavin
VK6HGR discussed about Eastern States group push. Lionel VK6DC talked
about Melbourne situation. Cliff VK6LZ read the WIA minutes re split and
our proposal created during a Sunday Net. Discussion on LIPD and issues.

CALM letter to WIA regarding equipment at Mt William as to who was on CALM
land. CALM was informed that we share with SIMOCO now COM Group.

Cliff VK6LZ asked what is happening about the "TARDIS", the cabinet
earmarked to become the equipment holder at the possible Brockway site,
Peter VK6HAO has not done anything yet, waiting for Trevor MS to check out
the Tower at Brockway.

IQ Morse Beacon, it has been muted that it be shifted back to Orange Grove
for the winter, are we going to do it. A member can't hear it. Clive
VK6CSW will look into it when at the Hills group meeting. Site access was
discussed.

Peter VK6HAO needs a cheque for Exams, agreed by Treasurer, and needs
Lyn's phone number, Key and Code.

Gavin VK6HGR has come across 2 x 19" racks by Motorola. He is using one;
the other is up for grabs.

Wireless Hill West, 802.11b WLAN Access Point is up and running.  VK6XRE
802.11b WLAN Access Point is up and running too.
