=== LIVE FROM KOUROU ===

* The 100th ARIANE vehicle (the 71st ARIANE 4) lifted off from the
Guiana Space Center (CSG) in Kourou, at 23:58:00 on September 23.

The launcher, an ARIANE 42L-3 with two liquid strap-on boosters, is
carrying the 3,455-kg INTELSAT 803 communication satellite (38C/6Ku),
a LM-7000 spacecraft built by LOCKHEED MARTIN TELECOMMUNICATIONS, of
Sunnyvale, California, for INTELSAT, of Washington, DC.

This is the 16th INTELSAT satellite launched by an ARIANE vehicle
since 1983 and two more are on ARIANESPACE's backlog.
