Hi All. I wonder if any Archimedes users, have used an Epson GT 8000
scanner, with ImageMaster on an A5000 computer. If you have, what kind of
images have you recovered.

Using 8bits, and 300dpi, the images are awful, to say the least, and using
any higher resolution, apart from ending up with some image files of 50MB,
the images are no better. At first I thought it was a limitation of the
AKF50 monitor, but dropping a sprite of the image, onto a Risc PC 700 and
AKF85, displays the same awful quality. Scanning using the same resolution
etc,on the Risc PC, gives a much better and usable image. Even scanning down
at 100dpi, on the Risc PC gives a far better image than over 1000 on the
A5000.

Am I expecting too much of the A5000. ?

Thanks in anticipation of any replies.
