I wonder how many of the IGates are properly configured to pass message
traffic back to RF. I haven't been able to get a response out of the
tracker for awhile now, but RX was a little flaky on that unit so it's hard
to say exactly what the problem is.
I know with aprsd I never was able to get it to gate messages properly,
which is why I finally gave up and switched to Xastir for my IGate. I
think UI-View32 was the most popular IGate program last time I checked,
though, and as far as I know it works ok.

The Tulsa Amatuer Radio Club has digis in Tulsa at 400ft and 10watts to the
coax as well as up in the Ketchum area with similar capabilities. The
tulsa digi (these days) hears too much, but can, in general provide at
lease some coverage for mobiles.
I am not familar with what digis are available in the mid east and south
east of Oklahoma, along the I-40 and I-75 corridors to the south.

Plains, then the Midwest into New England by 48 hours.

I know in Lincoln, CA there is a huge pile of wooden power poles. Not
sure of the company name that has them. It appears to be the stockpile
for the wesern US based on the number there.

Well, "The Andersons" sells lumber as well as about everything else, in
Maumee, OH. That's a little bit inland from lake Erie, so they deal mostly
with the farm trade rather than sailors.

Hi Wes,
I installed one (1) set of Anderson Power poles to ease changing my Marine
SSB radio from the boat to the house. The SSB is an ICOM M802 as you well
know works just fine on Marine Bands as well as MARS bands. I am AAV4XR and
it makes it simple to have an NTIA compliant radio here in the house. I
installed the Anderson power poles on the boat almost 2 years ago.
I had the M802 on the boat about a month ago for a short cruise. Everything
looked fine and obviously worked great. Anything in particular you are
interested in regards the "power" poles?
Jim
