ITEM format has been obsoleted and is no longer recommended for use.

Shortest might be a 3rd party format:
}W6WGZ-rpt>APX:!3717.55N/11941.04Wr 147.180+PL146.2 441.175+PL146.2

Concerning 9600 Baud APRS on UHF:

If you want to exercise your 9600 baud capablityeis of yoru mobile TH-D7 or
TM-D700, do not overlook the 6 times a day passage of ECHO satelite which
surpports APRS at 9600 on the 435.150 downlink and the 145.8XX uplink (I am
at the amsat meeting and cant remember th euplink).

But anyway, now with the end of the PCSAT2 mission, we hope to move over
APRS experimentation somewhat to the EDHO digipeater...

The term "SatGate" has normally been used to refer to a one-way
(receive-only) IGate gating _all_ heard packets to APRS-IS. I see from
the link you gave that you are using the term to refer to a D700 set up
to cross-frequency digipeat from the PCSAT frequency to the local APRS
frequency packets with SGATE as the next digipeater. I only bring this
up because the dual use of the term for two completely different
functions can be very confusing.

It is important to note, as hinted to above, that this only works if
someone has set their D700 (or other dual-frequency digipeater) to
cross-frequency digipeat SGATE packets. Since I would guess that most
D700's are used for voice on one band, you probably will find very few
D700's set up this way.

Subject: [aprssig] REF: Gate Path for PK-900?

I never said anything about a D700. This is questioning what path my TNC
(in this case; a PK-900) should have to Gate PCSAT from 145.825 to 144.390
I have RESET it from this previous suggestion, to: PCSAT-1 via Wide2-2, and
my Local path to: AA4QI-1 via Wide2-2. My GATE Call, is: GATE. If this is
WRONG, someone kindly recommend the CORRECT setting(s).

Umm.. yes. That is what my how-to explains how to configure.

Hmm. Did you read the text of how to set this up? Of course the D700
won't just magically work this way. That is why I wrote the instructions
to help people set this up.

I misunderstood your first request. I thought you were asking which path
to use to make sure your packet that you were uplinking to PCSAT would be
gated back to the terrestrial 144.39 network. It sounds like you want to
set up as a gateway (SatGate) to gate other's packets this way. In that
case, it is not the path you need to worry about. All you need to do it
set up your radio to listen on 145.825 and to transmit on 144.39. Then
enable your TNC as a digi and make sure you have set up a digi alias of
"SGATE". That is all that is required. Sorry, but I do not have the exact
configuration commands for a PK-900, but this should get you started.

My how-to for the D-700 explains the same process, but using a D700 instead
of a PK-900. I hope that helps!
