Not a lot of mapping programs support GPWPL input. Not that I've
encountered anyway. The difference here is that the tracker keeps all of
the waypoints in memory until they're requested for download, since most
mapping programs don't expect to receive any waypoints until they request a
transfer.

Very nice, works well. Some feature I would propose for the system is
sending also ack. I've got nearest EchoLink after my msg sent from TH-D7 and
msg was sent again few more times because there was no ack.

With what Xastir version? There was a tweak to that recently in CVS.

It should work fine according to the spec. It only has to fit inside the
9-character field in an APRS message for the "callsign".
Perhaps someone will try it with Xastir and let us know if it works. I'm
off to a meeting tonight else I'd try it.

I don't know where that came from, but as stated it is a clear
missrepresetation.

The system will ack the message from the requesting station.. However, it
is basically a fire & forget from the DEPOT side when it sends the
response. It doesn't request an ack from the original requesting station
when it sends the response. I looked through the logs and noticed that it
sent an ack to you three times (and a response to your query three times
too). Interesting you didn't get the ack though so that your station would
stop sending. I will have to get some more testing done. Maybe it a THD-7
thing?? If some others running THD-7's could try and let me know (On the
site preferrably so that we don't clog up this list, but here if you
must...).
Thanks.

Those test were done on the CygWin setup... I'll have to test it on my
Fedora setup and verify that I have the latest version.

Worked great in Xastir. Showed K7CPR (Capitol Peak) 17 miles from my
station.
