Scott,
I've purchased three OT's from you in the past. They just keep getting
better!
I'm at work right now with no net access. You think you could pass along
some more info to me on these new units via email?
Thanks!
Ryan

You can try expressPCB (http://www.expresspcb.com) they have a FREE
software package called expressSCH that will allow you to make schematic
drawings of the circuit. (it has a menu item to save the schematic as a
..bmp image file) You can also use the expressPCB to layout the board or
system.

I use Eagle PCB, mostly. The free version works great as long as your board
isn't over a certain size. The library editor is a pain, but I'm used to it
now. Unlike some of the free layout tools, it'll generate industry-standard
Gerber files that you can send directly to any board house.

There are a variety of solutions depending on what kind of internet you
have access to and what your abilities are with computers. Please share
this info and perhaps we can help you.
If you're looking for "where on my D7A can I put in my email address and
have updates sent there"? there is nothing that is simple like that.
Cheers,
Anders

Eagle is nice as long as it has the parts you're using in the packages
you want. If it doesn't, the job becomes 5x more difficult, since laying
out one IC component can be as much work as making a whole board. There
is a steep initial learning curve.
Besides the 100x80mm (about 4x3") board size limit, the freeware version
is for non-profit or hobby use only. The cheapest license only removes
the non-profit limit. It's at least $200 for a license that can handle
larger boards and more layers.

Hay You:
I am back on Packet/APRS again, after a LOOOoooonG abscence. I run a Mac in
the Shack, and a while back I had to clear the HD, and never did get any
Packet compatable software loaded with the new Mac OS X "OSes". I have now
RE-loaded an OLD OS; OS 9, and am again running Packet with Z-Term and
APRS, Mac v3.7.2 See u on.
Noticed a band opening up the East coast tonight.
Shut off all the radio stuff for the night.

Well, it's nice to finally know that it works! From time to time I fire
it up and hit the TX button and look at findu to see if anything arrived.
Much to my surprise, something finally did! At first I thought the page
hadn't finished loading, because the little "home" (/-) icon didn't show
up on the map. Then I realized it's because I'm using "hf home" (\-)
for the 30m packet, and findu doesn't have that icon!
So, I'd like to thank the following digis!
AD7GD-10>APRS,GATE,MISION,VNCMNO,WIDE2*,qAR,KD7NM:!4531.33N\12251.35W-
AD7GD-10>APRS,GATE,MISION,VNCMNO,WIDE2*,qAr,KD7NM*:!4531.33N\12251.35W-
(speaking of paths, looks like WIDE2-2 was necessary here?)

Looks like it, as MISION is Mission Ridge, near Wenatchee (east side of the
mountains), VNCMNO is over here on the west side on Camano Island, and
KD7NM (the igate used) is south of Everett.
I suspect the HFGATE station was over on the east side somewhere.
