I seem to recall someone saying the D700 has builtin anti-tracker
capabilities, and I notice that it does have both dataIN and dataOUT on the
gps cord, but I don't see anything about this in the docs.
Anyone know for sure?

Yes, the Anti-Tracker, D7A, D700A, OpenTracker2, and Xastir all have this
capability. HamHUD too? Can't remember right now.

Yeah, they've been promoting it pretty heavily with the AvMap Geosat G4T.
It's NMEA-only, so all you get is a callsign and generic icon, usually a
pushpin or dot. It's not nearly as cool as my Tracker2 with symbol
translation and waypoint comments. =]

Ok, you got me. What is/does "anti-tracker"?

It's a device (or program) that parses APRS positions and sends them to a
GPS receiver as waypoints so they show up on the map screen.

We're working on it, but it relies heavily on whether we can get KISS
working or software flow control to free up the RTS pin for GPS Serial
output.

YouTube.com may have amore liberal policy on video distribution and
supports (and converts I think) several formats.

Subject: [aprssig] APRS Weather Stations
Evening
This might be a dumb question (on the wrong list), but we just had a club
committee meeting and one of the members suggested we should purchase an
APRS capable Weather Station. As we already have a WeatherTracker(TM), he
was suggesting a Peets Ultimeter 2100 (with the rain guage). I've looked
at the CWOP pages and I can't really tell if there is a 'standard' for this
kind of thing.
Suggestions appreciated.

OK Richard. I have installed a Javascript that starts the Quicktime player
when you click on the image. The video should start to play after some of
the video file has been downloaded. It is not streaming video, but you
shouldn't have to wait as long to start viewing the video.
BTW, I'd like to thank the three guys that are hosting the videos and
taking a hit on their bandwidth. Also a thanks to several others that
offered to host the videos as well.

I may put it on YouTube, but I didn't want the YouTube logo branded across
the video. I'll keep waiting on Google video. If they don't work out,
then I can just encoded it to a resolution format myself and host it on the
aprstv.com server.
