Perhaps no. Packet never was a mode of competition in ham operator
skills, like many hams doing it in cw/phone/teletype contests.
Its just a ham data media, to exchange ham information
such dx bulls, mailing, chatting etc...
The one possible use of packet mode for competition I can remember
is for chess playing.
Where information about the moves was transmitted by packet.
But this was a long time ago and I do not know already where
to get this program now.
Just my IMHO.
