Several points.
AGW is great, but then other soundcard systems don't have the memory
bug. Mixw and others run forever with no problems. I wish it were
possible to somehow interface Winpack with Mixw and use Mixw as the packet
engine instead, much more stable.
The big problem with many users is that they all claim AGW works when
it doesn't. No one has seriously tested the software. All they do is
run it for an hour, read one or two messages and get back to watching the
TV.
Many users have lots of RAM and so even after a few hours AGW still runs.
But that doesn't mean AGW is ok, it just means the crash has been delayed.
Perhaps Mr AGW got fooled the same way ;-)
I also read the comments from the ZL station (sorry can't remember callsign
as I type this), but I agreed 100% with his comments too.
