I think you may be right about the sunspot minimum having passed Andy. I
noticed recently that 20 metres has  a lot of DX coming in, and there have
been some signals on higher bands occasionally.

SIX is still going, I am listening to the Barossa Valley beacon right now
at 8 a.m. The daily openings continue. There seem to be more stations on
that band now also. On Sunday they were coming in from all over Australia
on SIX, with a sporadic E opening on 144 between Perth and Adelaide for
good measure - well over 1000 km.
