Hello,

No Andy, the main problem is not the "lack" of propagation, it's the
different national allocations for the 6m band.

In F we have only the 50.2-51.2MHz portion allocated but with regional
restrictions and no F/ nor /M, /MM authorised, and there's no CEPT
equivalence as this band is not a CEPT band in Europe.

Whereas the DL have the more interesting 50.08-51.0MHz allocation restricted
to personal licences with no /P or /M authorisation.

The HB9 OM's have the full 50-52MHz allocation with 25W EIRP in vertical
polarisation 24h a day.

More contests will surely not solve the problem!

It's true, this band is underused in F too and 6m is a good alternative to
the "overcrowded" 2m and 70cm.
