Hi Barry and 6M ops,
The band usually opens well in June, but this year it has been rather
"unspectacular". As I write I hear a weak and fading CW CQ on the 50.125
calling frequency but can't quite make it out.
Stateside has been fair to good with a few strong openings lasting for
hours allowing multiple armchair copy QSOs, but no DX heard so far.
This past weekend there was some sort of contest and the band opened
fairly well here and there. Not being a contester I paid rather little
attention but gave them a few points just for fun.
So, there's your report from The Jersey Shore, good DX to all.
