THE TOP QSO OF THE YEAR 2002

                        RULES FOR THE 2002 EDITION

(la versione italiana e' in basso)

The Six Italy Group issues "The Top Qso of the Year" contest, and it
consist of awarding the best dx (best qrb) made on the 6m band in the
whole year 2002. Qsos are valid starting from Jan the 1st to Dec 31st
2002, every kind of propagation can be used, but qsos made via passive
repeater (such as EME ones) and active repeaters or satellites (if there
will be one hi!) are not valid.

 TOP QSO LIST:
The list will be updated every 1st day of each month, and published on
SIXITALY web site as well as on packet network or magazines.
The final list and the declaration of the 2002 winner will be made within
 Feb 28th 2003

 CLAIMING AND QRB CALCULATION RULES:
 Every participant must declare:

His/her CALLSIGN and his/her COMPLETE WW LOC (6digit)
DATE, TIME, CALLSIGN, COMPLETE WW LOC (6 digit), MODE, REPORTS of the
 worked DX.

The declared QRB must be the "shortest" between the two stations,
regardless the kind of propagation (ie for a qso made via the "long path"
the qrb calculated will be as the qso is made via "the short path").

The qrb must be calculated with the full WW LOC (6 digit), without the
last 2 digit the minimum distance between the participant and the dx
 station will be considered.
The SW utility used to verify the calculated qrb will be the well
 know FASTLOG one.

The "TOP QSO OF THE YEAR" must be claimed within 2 months after the
date of the contact (ie date of dx qso Feb 3rd 2002, the deadline
for claiming is April 30rd ) that should prevent people to send their
TOP QSO made at the beginning of the year, during the last days of the
contest so to mess up the entire top list.
There is no need to submit the QSL card, but if there are doubts or
protests, the judging commission can request a copy of it.

 PRIZES:
Six Italy group will award with a group T-Shirt:
 the best Italian participant
 the best EU participant
 the best NON EU participant.
The T-shirt will be either given personally at the 2003 AGM of the
 Group or deliverd by mail.

 ENTRY LEVEL:
To raise qrb for the TOP QSO LIST is accepted every contact with a qrb
 of 6000 Km as minimum.
To send the "entry", please use the form in sixitalia web site
 at the url www.sixitalia.org/game/dxy2002.htm
or sending your entry via email to ik5dhm@libero.it

The judiging commission is made of :
 I0CUT, IK0FTA, IK5DHM, IW0BET, IW0GPN, IZ1EPM.
The responsible of the contest is IK5DHM.
                             --------------------

                           Qso dell'Anno 2002

 fatto via "short path").

 alla prima stazione Italiana;
 alla prima stazione Europea;
 alla prima staziona Extra-Europea.

I premi verranno consegnati nell'Assemblea annuale del Gruppo dell'anno
 200a o inviati via posta.

 ENTRY LEVEL:
 all'url: www.sixitalia.org/game/dxy2002.htm

o inviare le info tramite email a: ik5dhm@libero.it

La Commissione Giudicante e' composta da:
 I0CUT, IK0FTA, IK5DHM, IW0BET, IW0GPN, IZ1EPM.
Il responsabile dello svolgimento della gara e' IK5DHM.
