Miquelon Island, FP. UPDATE: Lefty K1TOL, writes; FP/NA1CW 6M DXPED to
Miquelon Island, GN17, late Friday, June 14 to late Sunday, June 23.
Tim (NA1CW) and Lefty (K1TOL) are planning to arrive on Miquelon Island
at 2300Z and immediately unpack the equipment and erect the 7 ele. beam
atop the 20 foot mast. We plan on "parking" on 50.120 the entire 10
days and someone will be in the hotel room 24 hours/day. When the band
is not open, we will use both a voice and/or cw keyer on a constant "CQ
   CQ FP/NA1CW FP/NA1CW" loop. See http://6m.dxers.info/dxpedition/fp/
Let's hope the 6M band opens up ! Lefty, K1TOL and Tim, NA1CW

Ogasawara, JD1. JH0IEW/JD1 and JE0EHE/JD1 will stay on Ogasawara from
Jun 8-16. They will be QRV in SSB/CW on 6-80m. (QSP de DXNL 1296)

   Azores, CU. Luis/CT1AGF, Antonio/CT1EPV, Hermann (HB9CRV/CT3FN) and
Phil/HB9FMU will be active on all bands (6 metres included) SSB, CW,
RTTY and PSK31 from Corvo Isl. from 16 July to 1 August. Look for CU9AB
(QSL via WA3HUP), CU9/CT1AGF/p (QSL via home call), CU9/CT3FN/p (QSL
via HB9CRV) and CU9/HB9FMU/p (QSL via home call). (QSP de DXNL 1296)

Amsterdam Island, FT. Caroline (YL), F4DOT, is expecting to take a
fishing boat from Reunion to Amsterdam Island early this month. Arrival
time is expected late this month. This looks like it will be a 6 meter
only operation. Caroline is a novice operator and not use to pileups so
please articulate your call sign and use international phonetics. This
will be the first YL operation from FT and the use of the first FT1Z
prefix. Equipment will include an FT-100 and a 4 element yagi for 6 m.
Length of stay is unknown at this time. (QSP de The Daily DX #109)

Afghanistan, YA. S53R. Robert, returned to Afghanistan, carrying a new
   IC-756PRO, IC-PW1 amplifier, extra aluminum and a 6M yagi. He says, "I
hope to put YA on the 6M map!" So far YA5T has logged 22,000 CW QSOs
and 4,500 on SSB. As he headed out to the airport for the flight to
Afghanistan, Robert said, "My stuff is packed - I'm ready." (QSP de
   The Daily DX #108)

Togo, 5V. Francois, VE2XO, informs OPDX that he will be active from
Lome, Togo, as 5V7XO from August 25-31st. He will be mainly active on
RTTY and also on SSB on 20/17/15/12/10 meters, operating split. Also,
he may possibly be active on 6 meters. QSL via his home callsign. (QSP
   de OPDX #564)

North Korea, P5. Ed, P5/4L4FN, is expected to be more active this sum-
mer. He made his first 6 meter contact this past week on May 26th with
JJ2GAZ. Over the past week, Ed has made some 100 QSOs on 6 meters (ac-
cording to the KK5DO Web site). (QSP de OPDX #564)
