Well, you could take a channel 2 antenna and saw the ends of the elements
off until they resonate on 50 MHz.
Basically, a TV antenna is made of the same materials as a ham antenna, so
take any 50MHz design and make it out of a TV antenna, really.
You can leave the element spacing the original value! If you have the
dimensions of the TV antenna in question, the required reflector/director
lengths can be determined. The fed dipole itself should resonate, of
course.
The only thing is the feed, I wouldn't bank on the little aluminium
strippy/microscopic wire thingy that you find in the connection box.
Instead make up your own from a bit of RG58 coax or perhaps use a toroid
transformer.
