General information.
East Malaysia, 9M6. JA1BRK, JA1HGY, JA1RJU, JK1OPL, JA2ADH and JA8GQZ
are going to be active (on 10-160 and 6 metres, SSB,CW and RTTY, with
an emphasis on RTTY and 6 metres) from East Malaysia. Look for 9M6/
JA1HGY (QSL via JA1HGY), 9M6/JK1OPL (QSL via JK1OPL), 9M6/JA8GQZ (QSL
via JA8GQZ), 9M6TDC guest operated by JA1BRK (QSL via JA1BRK) and
9M6LSC guest operated by JA2ADH (QSL via JA2ADH) on 8-11 November,
while JA1RJU will be signing 9M6JU (QSL via Home call) on 8-15 Novem-

Tuvalu, T2. (Update) "Tuvalu Team" (JH7OHF, JJ1LIB, JN1HOW, JQ1KNH) has
been delayed and now plans are to operate as T2T (HF) and T2SIX (6m) on

Fernando de Noronha, PY0. Peter, PY5CC will be active again as PY0FM on
November 20-29. QSL via JA1VOK. GL, Hatsuo, JA1VOK (QSP de UKSMG ann.)
French Polynesia, FO0. JI1JKW will operate as FO0SAI from Hiva, Mar-
quesas from Nov 18 to Nov 21 then shift to Moorea, French Polynesia
from Nov 22 to Nov 23. Operation will be on HF and six meters. QSL to

200 countries on Six: May I lead your attention on the fact that with-
in a few days difference, two European stations completed their 200
countries DXCC on Six, SV1DH and 9H1CG. Congratulations! Costas and

Band report. Costas SV1XV, writes; Well, E30NA Eritrea was active on
50110 and later 50125 (SSB) from Eritrea on Monday 29 October with
excellent signals to Greece (58 on a vertical, from approx 3000 km
away). QSL direct only via DL5NAM. 73 Costas SV1XV
Australia, VK. Steve VK3OT, writes; VK3SIX beacon is now qrv 50.293
running 15 watts beaming North. Antenna is a 9 element m2 yagi 100 feet
high. VK3SIX 10M outlet is still on 28.253 beaming over pole running 15
watts to a 5 element yagi at 110 feet. Reports to vk3six@qsl.net thanks
Samoa, 5W. Bill, W7TVF will be active from Samoa between 20 November
and 10 December. The call is not known yet. Operation will be on all
bands from 160 to 6 metres and the mode will be mostly CW. Special at-
tention will be given to Europe and Africa on the low bands during fa-
vorable grayline. Further information, including on-line log serach,

Costa Rica, TI. Phil, N0KE, will be going to Costa Rica from October 26
until after the Thanksgiving weekend. He will be QRV during both the CQ
WW SSB and CW Contests as TI5X. At other times Phil will be on as TI5/
N0KE or TI8/N0KE on HF and 6 meters. QSL via N0KE. (The Daily DX #209

Laos, XW. Hiro, JA2EZD, has a new 24-meter high tower and Kenwood TL-
922 amplifier at his office station in downtown Vientiane, Laos. He
plans to use this very soon on the low bands. Hiro is QRV as XW0X cur-
rently on 6, 10, 15, 20 and 40 meters. He hopes to be on the WARC bands
very soon. JA7MYQ has donated a RTTY system. QSL via Hiroo Yonezuka,
P.O. Box 2659 Vientiane, Laos. Hiroo was working on six meters on Oct.

QSL info. Dana VE3DSS, writes; QSL information for VY0AAA is the fol-
lowing: For anyone who worked VY0AAA on 50 MHz you can obtain cards
from the station owner/operator Ray Perrin VE3FN. Ray lives in Ottawa
and travels to Iqaluit periodically. Ray advises that he has received
cards from the printer and will respond to any QSL requests sent to

Faroe Isl., OY. OY6SMC beacon is back on 50.035 It has been qrt for
abt. 10 days due to a power supply fault. The antenna is a 1/2 vertical
dipole side mounted on a tower QTF west ( 270 ) Wath is a good beacon
