YEP ! Thats one of mine, and I forgot to post it to the group
in the yahoo world....

> Peter, don't you mean 'The Next Stage of Retirement [smile]
> de Paul G4APL

Hi Paul, long time ..no hear. I guess it is, then I get postings
via emails automatic when one posts there, and all mention being
stripped of their ability to participate "on-air" as the next stage
as you put it, does not allow for antenna for them to continue
with their hobby or allow other residents to discover a new hobby.

At one time here, "retirement homes" allowed for a single instal
and all who were into ham radio would share. Not nowadays, mum
or dad or both, are placed there by their offspring, or whomever
and ... well I have my comments too on this next stage of retirement.

I am, too not going to blame all kids for this, as the comment will
be they could not supervise ma or pa in the home, and it was either
keep ma and pa in the home, and loose the job or put'em into these
places. I am sure even before this stage was reached, ma and pa
told their son or daughter, that when it comes to this stage of
us in the home..or the job... get us or whomever is left into the
home. In my case never threatened my job, and I had my mum in home
with case workers coming in. They were the best.

Yeah. The next stage of retirement. Those Golden Years...eh
Paul ??? Sounds like an interesting discussion to have on Packet.

I will pass it along ... 73 Pete VE3WBZ
