Hello Angela, and all ..or if anyone is reading along

It is so sad, but then after a while, these questions must
be asked, to guage interest?

I get the regular reminders for the Echolink nets, but
for the few times I have put aside time, I can not figure
out just when the net is .... <i.e.> 9PM can mean the
time anywhere, and at one point we did have GMT time listed.

Last week, I did get something weird, about some meeting
or gathering, as if from or the packet network, and I
thought for a moment I had been lost or dropped from
packet or some newer form of packet ... as plans were
disclosed of where, etc...details.

How is Jacqueline? Theres a name I have not heard for a
long time, and missing from greetings etc..etc. I instal
and keep echolink on our machines, as well local here for
senior hams in these retirement homes, where they ...well
you know the drill. It is their way back, and thanks
to a few in the area they are linked to HF and 80m for
the nets they enjoyed over so many years. With my HF
down, and knee problems, I am entering that same boat...
but fear not, cuz I will drop the whole ball o wax and
move on to something else. I will not be tormented when
I am restricted. Just find something else....

Thanks Angela for taking the time to AR it and re-open packet
to let me know, as well the many that know your callsign
and name and have had passed exchanges with you. I hope
many too apprecciate your efforts as a Sysop too!

Don't worry about the local club. Mine, I dropped so many
years ago, well they are still stuck on killing AR and being
techno-computer Internet hams, in virtual hammieland and
racing with the CB'ers to Emergencys ....eerrrr mmm.

Thats interesting. Folks of all origins left the older
world for that in the west. Then had to cross another
sea for the New World, and it all followed, and we're
all still just tring to live together, and accept
the differences in people. The problems of the old
seem to dog our path no matter what.
