Hello Everyone,
My name is Roger and I live in Austin Minnesota USA. I am good friends
with Billie & K.O. who live in Branson Missouri. I used to go to their
home all the time. K.O. has packet classes on saturdays some times
and I used to go there. We ahve been having the same HOT weather up here
in Minnesota this summer. I guess the whole country here is doing crazy
things this year. The ones that need rain and usually get lots of rain
are dry and the country that is usually dry is wet this year.
I am retired and 71 yrs old. My wife Patty is retired also. We do a small
garden out back of the house and along side of our garage. Alongside
the garage is where we planted pole beans and winter squash. We just
picked a whole gallon of green beans yesterday . And that is from the
6 green bean seeds I planted late last spring. And the squash are doing
just super. I guess because they are in a spot that has never had
anything planted there, but grass. New ground always seems to do better.
Billie and I communicate on a daily basis on the BBS. It just quit
raining, but according to my rain gauge, it sure wasn't much. About
1/10 inch. Not enough to really do much good, so it is back to watering
