Hello, Peter, Michael, Sara, Rodge, Ian, and anyone
else reading along.

Rodge and Ian are included because I read messages in
the OM category, and they may read YL messages.

I reverted to my reading only mode for too long. That
ties in with my listening rather than talking personality.

First, I want to comment on Sara's message that I just read.
Apparently Rusty is no longer with us, Peter. If there has
been a YL message about his passing, I didn't see it. I
know life had been a struggle for him for quite some time,
but, still he will be missed I know. Several months ago I
wrote about my neighbor who had a dog to which he was very
attached. Well, his dog is gone, also. My neighbor, who is
in his eighties and lives alone, is very lonely without the
dog, but he thinks he is not able to care for another one.

And, Sara, I know you want to see some tomatoes on those
plants. I don't grow tomatoes, but we have been getting
some delicious tomatoes from a vegetable stand near our
house. They are grown by some Amish people. We like fresh
green beans, also, and those have been available.

I'm so far behind, there's no way I can comment on all the
messages I have read. I enjoyed the doggie stories that
were going back and forth for a while. And, I found the
travel messages very interesting that you guys were exchanging.

Michael, you have been very busy. I hope your new neighbors
aren't being too noisy. Glad the cats, Roger and Marla, are doing
well. It was interesting to hear about your winter being wet and
all the blankets in use at your house. We have been having a heat
wave here with temperatures in the mid-nineties and heat indexes
ranging from 100 to 108. That's Fahrenheit. And, we need rain.

We are in the middle of summer here and the height of the tourist
season. As the economy here depends on the tourists, we locals
are glad to see them. There has been some decline in the number
of people coming into town, but for the state of the overall economy,
not too bad.

It is always good to see a new posting to the YL and OM category.
Maybe I can get on a schedule and do better in the future.

73, Billie
