Greetings to all of you out there.
Peter, you really got busy with responses. In one of your
messages earlier you had indicated you might not be very
active for a while because you tired easily. So, it was
great to see your callsign on several bulletins.
Thank you for getting in touch with Sarah and sharing her
reply with us. No doubt you will see that Sarah gets a
copy of the packet YL bulletins, also. Therefore, I will
say to Sarah that I have great empathy with her on the
shattered elbow. Within the last ten years I have broken
both shoulders and my right wrist in three separate
incidents. I have been blessed in that all breaks healed
well. The shoulders don't have quite the original range,
but the wrist has no problems at all. But, all required
therapy as Sarah has experienced. So sorry to hear about
her husband's lymphoma, also, but glad he is improving.
Hope the chemo does the job. Glad to hear she hasn't given
up on packet.
As to the OM category--I understand that the subject matter
would need to be "guy" stuff. So, good luck with that, but
just save enough typing time to post to YL.
Michael, you mentioned in an earlier bulletin that Daylight
Saving time in Auckland had just ended, but all equipment
didn't change on the correct week. I have had to deal with
that problem, also. A few years back, when Daylight Saving
Time here changed from the first Sunday in April to the second
Sunday in March, we had to do manual changes or mental
calculations on our equipment. The computers we have now all
change to the new date correctly. But, I still use an old
VCR that changes on the first Sunday in April. So, for a
few weeks when I record something with it, I have to remember
to adjust the record time by one hour. That's the simplest
solution--if I don't forget!
And, I was interested in reading about the Australian parrots.
Roger, KB0SON, tells me about all the different birds that
he and Patty have and feed at their place.
Well, there are many more items in everyone's bulletins that
merit comment, but this is getting long and I am running out
of time for this session. So, just keep those bulletins
coming.
