That reminds me, for my FT817 I am building an LF ferite rod + pre-amp into
the existing ATU + whip antenna box that I use. Naturally space is at a
premium and a 9v battery just wont fit in once the rest of the bits are
inside. I'm considering the PCB mounted miniature NiMh cells, two of the
4.5 volts ones in series.
Has anyone found a source that's cheaper than 4 quid per battery ?
