It's not a good idea to keep using a battery pack if it's
gone flat, one or more of the cells may go completly flat
and then the remaining cells which may still have some capacity
left would charge the flat cells in reverse. From my experience
with a maglite torch with 5 4AH cells any cell that is reverse
charged will lose capacity and its internal leakage will increase .
