Just in case someone thinks that what someone says about Yaesu or other radio
is all true it is well to remember that these "certainties" have never been
true.

All brands of radios have failures at sometime or other.
We all have radios that have NEVER failed and we all have radios that have
failed.

I have a mixture of Yaesu, Kenwood and one Icom radio.

I have a Yaesu HF radio on my HF BBS which has been running for years 24 hours
a day 365 days a year. It has had one failure that I fixed myself.
Interestingly it was not in part of the circuitry being used by the BBS.

I have had three failures with a Kenwood 430 but all quite fixable.

Because of my experience with these radios the first place I would look for a
new radio would be Yaesu, but I would not ignore the rest.

All that after 30 years of Yaesu and others.
