But Yaesu and Standard are the same company !!!


On the reliability of Icom rigs , my own findings are that they are absolute
crap.
Our local club bought at the same time a Yaesu FT736R and two single band
ICOM multimode rigs. The FT736 is still going strong, but BOTH of the ICOM
rigs repeatedly failed miserably and were both eventually scrapped.
