Hi:
I am using the FT847 in digi-modes and have wondered if YAESU in the
meantime has come up with a firmware- version that would allow the
central control processor to allow the "narrow"- if position to be
activated in SSB as well as in CW. In digimodes a narrow filter in the if
would often be important especially when strong signal are in the
if-passband besides weak ones. The strong signals are developing AGC and
are pushing the weak ones thus into the noise.
The relataive position of the cw filters centre frequency would be of no
impact, since in digi-modes you can control the centre frequency of your
received and transmitted frequency on your computer as you like.
So I wonder if YAESU has come up with such a change?

Regards and 73s
