Hi All,
I have myself a Yaesu FT-7800E UK spec. Dual Bander.
It has a slight problem, whereby every now and again, it will go berserk,
and throw all the skipped memory channels back into the scan.
I have certain repeaters programmed in, with their CTCSS tones etc, but like to have them locked out,
but there, in case I need to get to them.
Like I say, sometimes I will turn on, and all channels will be in the scan.
Has anyone else come across this? and if so, is there a magic cure?
I suspected the memory backup capacitor, but if that was the case, surely
it would throw all the programmed memories out as well?.
Also, another little thing. When I power up, it will briefly give the supply
voltage on the display. In the top left corner of the display, it will display
from 1-HP through to 5-HP depending on what mood it is in. Anyone know what this
denotes? I cant seem to find it in the manual!
