One of the main problems with packet radio is the ability of it's
correspondaents to drift significantly off topic. In fact it's almost
a worldwide sport that I would suggest the majority of (myself included)
engage in !

However a possible solution is at hand - the group server !

Now I know that my respected friend Paula can recall this type of activity
from when she ran the White Pages Group back in the previous decade ;-)

At least then "Off topic offenders" can be excluded by the server
moderator.

I have previously experimented with xrouter and foubnd it to be excellent
in respect to modern packet day needs (Australi excluded - they're
probably
just getting use to BPQ ! ;-) )

However like most homosapiens I want to configure my software FAST - and
XROUTER contains a b****y great configuration file that compares with
War and Peace ;-)

Thats not an insult - but a laymans view upon real world psyche.

Just for info - I don't have any use for xrouter here because I'm not
in a position of "service provider" but as a keen packeteer I attempt to
follow all developments.

Regards - Andy
