Hi G8PZT Xrouter users,
My problems with YAPP over my home LAN to Xrouter are solved.
With help from the user list, I changed my Telnet connection script for
Winpack to use port 2323 rather than the regular port 23.
Port 2323 uses the Tel proxy feature of Xrouter, so I had to "allow" my
local LAN IP addresses to access the Telproxy under telproxy.acl file.
Now I can make Winpack connect to my local Xrouter than perform an AX25
connection on RF to the local BBS (ZL1AB) that is a combination of Xrouter
front end & F6FBB/BPQ back end (Ethernet connected).
Now I can issue a YGET command & YAPP works where it used to "choke" on
control characters before that wouldn't pass through my local Telnet port
23 link.
I have yet to try a Telnet port 2323 connection over RF to the distant
Xrouter. It also should work where port 23 may have problems for binary
transfer, but be fine for ACSII text or 7 Plus transfers..
