Good to hear of your experiments Mark.

Here in VK5 that's just what we are doing. We have a node sited at
VK5SPG, which as well as connecting into that BBS makes use of other
2,4Ghz nodes run by a community group (Air-Stream) to provide links
to many other metropolitan areas.

We have users who connect (by up to three hops) into the BBS, using
Winpack. We also run AXIP over the link. This runs over three hops
to the wormhole, and carries interactive logins plus also does AX25
forwarding over the AXIP.

We have at least two other radio clubs who have expressed an interest
in joining this. There are many other things that could be done or
are planned. Have a look at http://www.air-stream.org/node/131
for some of the activities we envisage.
