Hello David and readers,

Well written, but with one glaring flaw, your "comparison" of WLAN to the
Sydney Wiress (group) Mission Statement. This group is exempliary of the
mant such groups that are sprouting everywhere, and how very true,
they're not ham radio. Then they're not WLAN either.

In short, a LAN whether wired or wireless works in a completely different
manner than peer to peer network sharing. These groups are such and may
be called WP2P for the sake of discussion.

Now for all of you out there including David who are completely confused,
I strongly suggest doing a bit of homework and find out how the various
types of networks work and how they are used before you start spreading
more misinformation leading to more confusion.
