Hi Barry & Others,

Like I have said earlier, the link was not an established one, my beocons
where monitored quite readily, my software, Netstumbler, stated around -70
to -80dbm which was around 10db above the noise for the received signal.

But it is a platform on which to improve.

The other site, also a HAM, (gee it must be ham radio then!!!!!!!) was a
LOS path through trees locally to me.

I do agree with Barry (in a personal message to me), that Hams could make
the best of this system "as is" by using high sited repeater nodes, ie
Access Points (AP's) set into repeat mode. The through put would be
reduced by half, but what the heck, even 5.5 MB/s or 2MB/s is better than
1.2KB/s.

Regards

Mark
