Multiuser Windows Packet Driver Program
Minor Upgrade Ver 1.01c
(C) Jon Welch G7JJF, 18th August 1996
As I add new features or if bugs or other problems come to light with my WINTNC
software, I will make available interim releases of the software prior to the
next full version being released. The update routine will simply replace your
current EXE files with new updated versions.
WINTNC Ver 1.01c 18/08/96
Problems fixed
the node wasn't hearing remote packets when a user connects through it
Enhancements
added support for international keyboards
(I cannot test this so could someone perhaps please let me know if it works !)
WINTNC Ver 1.01b 13/08/96
Problems fixed
Error in password logic of C_FILTER
Enhancements
added DAMA support
added output paging in PMS - use P to toggle paging
added ON DISCONNECT script keywords
ON DISCONNECT STOP will abort a script file if a disconnect occurs
ON DISCONNECT GOTO <label> will goto <label> if a disconnect occurs
ON DISCONNECT GOTO will cancel the previous command
The DAMA support is currently untested as no-one in my local area uses DAMA so
it may not work ! If your local node supports DAMA, please check out this
feature and let me know if it works. As it is only on test at the moment, I
have added an extra TNC command which toggles DAMA support ON and OFF. You must
turn it ON before attempting a DAMA connect. If DAMA doesn't work, you can turn
DAMA support OFF so the program will ignore the DAMA protocol and revert to
non-DAMA use. If the DAMA support seems to work, this command will be removed
as it then won't be needed.
WINTNC Ver 1.01a 11/08/96
Problems fixed
SR used wrong from callsign
GPF if ID heard with /N at beginning of line
Enhancements
added address database of callsigns and homebbs's to PMS
I <callsign> - show homebbs of callsign, use partial callsign to list all
callsigns
starting with specified string
IE <callsign> @ <homebbs> - add or edit database
ID <callsign> - delete callsign from database
IS - show number of callsigns in database
ER - reply to last message read and automatically enter editor quoting original
message
you can now specify a via list for the MyBBS parameter
The address database in the PMS is generated automatically from all incoming
messages. The callsign and homebbs of the user is extracted from the message,
either from a From: entry or the routing information. The address database is
used when sending mail. If you cannot remember the homebbs of a user, if an
entry already exists in the database, the software will automatically add the @
(homebbs) field to the message.
So, rather than type SP G7JJF @ GB7MAM.#23.GBR.EU, if G7JJF is already in the
database, just typing SP G7JJF will automatically generate the @
GB7MAM.#23.GBR.EU field for you.
If you get any problems using the software, please let me know and I will try
and help.
