Hi All,

It's been a few years since I was last active on packet due to other interests
and hobbies taking over for a while.

I still get the odd e-mail asking for help and support on my packet programs
and several people have been asking lately if I have any plans for upgrading
the software to full 32 bit, ie to support the newer OS's like Windows 2000
and Windows XP which have come out since writing the software.

In particular, could I get WINTNC to work with hardware KISS TNC's and could I
add support for the AGW packet engine.

So, I dug out the old source code and spent several weekends hacking away to
see what I could come up with.

The end result was a new version of WINTNC Ver 1.01i.

This version is still a 16-bit application but I have now re-written the serial
port handling to use Windows API calls rather than direct I/O addressing so
the program will work with hardware KISS TNC's on W2K and above. I have also
added support for the AGW packet engine so you can now use the entire range
of AGW packet drivers with WINTNC. This means that you can now use your Baycom
modem or soundcard etc which WINTNC doesn't natively support under W2K and
above.

The program is still not 32 bit so you can't use my Baycom driver on the newer
OS's. But now you can use AGW, this isn't a problem anymore.

If I get any feedback on the new version, I may consider future upgrades now
that I have some time to play packet again.

I look forward to any comments or feedback anyone may have.
