Now THAT'S something to brag about! In other words, installing Winpack in Win
7 is small potatoes, good for you man, "they" should be so lucky.
Now the borderline computer illiterate have an idea of how it may be done,
just like some other programs that fail installation normally, start Windows
in safe mode so whatever kills the installation isn't loaded. Maybe that's
why it's called safe mode? DUH? At the very least disable AV protection,
sometimes installers employ "hot" kernels used to install malware so the AV
finding one in its database will block installation. Bottom line is not
always is a program incompatible with the OS, sometimes protection is
blocking the installation so thanks Frank, now maybe these young upstarts
will learn to respect their elders not for their age but for their knowledge
of things the wet behind the ears crowd haven't learned yet.
So THERE, the guys on the Island of Misfit Hams don't call me the grumpy old
bastid for nothing, now GET OFF MY LAWN!
Oh, don't think you can blame forgetfulness on a heart attack and get away
with it. Here in the States we call them "senior moments" because if it were
Alzheimer's we wouldn't remember what to call them. Now write this down, I'm
sure you'll forget. Before there was Alzheimer's it was known as senile dimentia,
or if you like alphabet soup; CRS... can't remember s***. While there is no cure
as of yet the disease can be diverted, not averted, by beer. Drink plenty
so those bar snacks become a part of you, particularly the beer nuts. Once
firmly established CRS cannot progress to the terminal phase, cotton balls.
Now if Bob doesn't have a fit and delete this bull, give credit where credit
is due since I'm not clever like George Carlin.
